62. X-Men: The Last Stand (view trailer here)
At last, I finally finished the X-Men series. This third and final movie, while not as good as First Class, was at least as good as the second one, if not better. I give it points for having the most interesting plot of the original three, and bringing some interesting story lines (Phoenix, a "cure" for the mutants), and it had Ellen Page in it! While I feel it doesn't really have a very conclusive "final movie" feel to it, I guess this is kind of intentional, as there is still lots more to the X-Men series, and it would be far complicated to tie up all the loose ends. As a final note, most likely a plus for this movie, I was the most emotionally invested in this one.
Verdict: I liked this movie. Not the best of the X-Men  series, and definitely not the worst. Also, Ian McKellen is badass as always.

63. Gnomeo & Juliet (view trailer here
Okay, I'll admit it... this movie was pretty funny. While not exactly a big memorable movie, I still enjoyed it. It was light, cute, and surprisingly funny (in a way that only a cartoon movie about garden gnomes can be). There were quite a few clever references to Shakespeare in it, and Elton John did all the music (with one notable track with Lady Gaga), so that's always good. Although that brings be to a good point: this movie is basically one big tribute to Elton John. When I say that Elton John did the music, I mean they worked in all his most famous songs as the soundtrack. And one gnome, in a fantasy-esque scene, is dressed like Elton John while singing "Your Song." And there is a whirligig shaped like him. Did I mention that his husband produced this? And Sir Elton was the executive producer? Maybe that had something to do with it.
Verdict: This is a great kids movie. And has a great cast of voice actors (James McAvoy, hellooooo, among many others).

64. Horrible Bosses (view trailer here)
This movie, according to reviews I've read, is generally received in two ways:
1) This movie is a disgrace to comedies.
2) This is the funniest thing I have ever seen.
I agree much more with #2. This is the second movie in recent weeks (the first being Bridesmaids) that I had very, very low expectations for, but ended up being fully proved wrong. In the same way I found Bridesmaids funny, this movie was hilarious. Each character was funny in a different way, a lot of the lines felt improvised (which I find to be about the funniest kind of humor), and the three main guys were great. Although why is Charlie Day's voice so high this entire movie? Also, Colin Farrell, Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Spacey are great as the coke-head, sex-predator, and crazy-douchey bosses. Seriously, they were hilarious.
Verdict: Of course, this is the kind of comedy that can be hit and miss. For me, it was a huge hit. That's shit's hilarious.

Again, I got way behind, and stopped blogging for a while. Sooo the next few ones are going to be nice and quick. And by nice and quick, I mean like... one sentence. Sorry.... Actually, to make it fun, I am going to channel my new-found Twitterness and limit them each to 140 characters (roughly)!

65. America's Sweethearts (view trailer here)
Julia Roberts! John Cusack! Catherine Zeta-Jones! Billy Crystal and Seth Green! Pretty cute movie. John Cusack is weirdly endearing in chick flicks.

66. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (view trailer here)
EPIC EPIC EPIC. While it definitely was more of a conclusion-y type movie rather than an intense-plotty- movie, I LOVED IT. I'm sad that it's all over now.

67. Monster's Inc. (view trailer here)
The mere fact that this is a Pixar movie means I already like it. Even among Pixar movies though, this is a good one. MIKE WAZOWSKI. This movie is cute.

68. The Other Guys (view trailer here)
I'm not a big Will Ferrell fan. I find his humor to be a bit annoying. But there are a few REALLY funny lines in this movie. Also, Mark Wahlberg is funny.

69. The 10th Kingdom (view trailer here)
This is more of a mini-series than a movie (it's 6 hours). I don't know how me and my brother first saw this, but we've always been embarrassingly into it, and have watched it many many times. It's increasingly hard to track down, but my friend finally burned a copy and we watched it again. It's low budget, has some really cheesy acting, and poor special effects. IT'S SO GOOD.

70. Captain America (view trailer here)
Like I've said before, I love superhero movies. This movie, while not great in the superhero parts of it, was really good, and surprisingly funny. Also, Chris Evans is a babe.

71. Beauty and the Beast (view trailer here)
Disney classic, for sure. I had forgotten how dark/intense the end of this is. Also, I would watch this movie anytime just for the "Be Our Guest" scene. It's no Aladdin, but it's good.

72. Salt (view trailer here)

This was one of those movies where there is more focus on the action sequences and intense fight scenes than actual plot. It was a little too Bourne-trilogy-esque for me (with an even sloppier plot), but I didn't hate it as much as the guys I watched it with did. Overall, I'd say this is a decent movie, but not an awesome one.

73. Crazy Stupid Love (view trailer here)
I actually loved this movie. Not only does it have one of my favorite actresses at the moment (Emma Stone), but Ryan Gosling is in it as well, in all his 6 pack-y glory, and Steve Carrell and Julianna Moore fill out a very solid cast. This movie was hilarious, and had a surprisingly twist at the end, which is hard to pull off in a romantic comedy. I'd recommend this movie to any girl, although I'm not saying guys wouldn't enjoy it.

74. Never Been Kissed (view trailer here)
I remember seeing the trailer and wanting to see it so bad a long, long time ago. It's hard to believe that it's been 12 years since it came out though. At long last I saw it, completing my childhood dream. It was kinda funny, but a little on the cheesy/awkward creepy teacher side. It's also got an especially awkward looking Drew Barrymore and a beautiful beautiful man.

75. The Incredibles (view trailer here)

I freaking love Pixar. It's been 7 years since this movie came out, and I still love it. I'm pretty sure almost everyone has seen this one. If not, you really really need to. It is one of the best Pixar films out there.

76.Hercules (view trailer here)
Hercules has got to be in my top 3 favorite Disney movies. It's funny, has a solid plot, a strong female character, ties in with Greek mythology, and has awesome songs. What's not to love?? Also, Hades is a great character. Basically this is a staple in any kids childhood. So yeah... you should (re)watch it soon.

77.Red Riding Hood (view trailer here)

I'm still a little torn about how I feel about this movie. At first glance, it has a heavy Twilight-y feeling to it, and that's a bit of a turn off. Overall, I'd give it maybe a 6 or 7. There is a very good looking guy in it (and one almost-but-not-my-type), intense scenes, and an actual plot, which kind of surprised me. Also, Gary Oldman. So there's that. This kind of movie isn't really my cup of tea, but it pulled it off better than I expected. Except the last scene was stupid.

78.The Emperor's New Groove (view trailer here)
Pacha: Uh-oh.
Kuzco: Don't tell me. We're about to go over a huge waterfall.
Pacha: Yep.
Kuzco: Sharp rocks at the bottom?
Pacha: Most likely.
Kuzco: Bring it on.

'Nuff said. This movie is hilarious, has a solid cast, and- best of all- has a llama as the main character. How many movies have that? None, that's how many.

79.Finding Nemo (view trailer here)
I saw this movie outside on a giant screen at Robson Square, which was a really cool experience. As I've mentioned before, I love Pixar. While this one isn't my favorite, it's a classic, and I realized I actually know big chunks of the dialogue.... Anyways, this is a good one, with great characters, emotions across the board (sad? funny? happy? scared? ALL THERE.), and is set in Australia. And Ellen DeGeneres voices a main character! It's a good one for sure.

80.Friends With Benefits (view trailer here)

There was a lot of debate/comparison between this and No Strings Attached. Fair enough, because they basically have the exact same plot. As much as I liked No Strings Attached, I have to say... this one is the superior movie. Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake are are even funnier combo, the plot is slightly more developed, and an even more star-studded cast. Andy Samburg, Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Shaun White (in this movie? HILARIOUS.), Nolan Gould (Luke from Modern Family), Patricia Clarkson (the mom from Easy A, also a quirky mom in this one) all join Mila Kunis and JT in this movie. I really recommend people see this movie. It's funny as hell.

81.Happy Feet (view trailer here)
This movie succeeded mostly in convincing me that penguins are fuckin' weird (and I mean this in the nicest sense). This movie is essentially one giant music video featuring singing and dancing penguins, with some serious environmental-awareness issues sprinkled in, and one really sad scene in an aquarium. It's a very odd concept. While there are some cute/funny parts, I think penguins are awkward enough as is, and should not be given human characteristics. (Oh wait- Happy Feet 2 is coming out soon! Joy.)
