Whether it is or not, someone's done something right around here, because the weather has been great since the day I got here. Not only is it sunny everyday, but it's hot. Like, August hot. Sure, this means that all the classrooms are stuffy as hell, walking between classes works up a sweat, and the buses essentially turn into sweat boxes, but I'm not complaining. I guess this is the weatherman's way of making up for our shitty July, and I'm not complaining. Last September was kind of average, followed by 8 months of kinda-cold-kinda-windy-but-mostly-lots-of-cloudy-days. So this is really my first time seeing UVic's campus in nice weather. I love it. UVic is actually quite pretty, especially in the summery weather. Walking by the quad, there are students all over it; sitting under the trees, lying in the sun, studying, and playing frisbee. Some people even set up a slackline between a few of the trees.
I guess there's not much point of this post, I'm just spreading the love for this summery September. This good weather is putting me in a really good mood. Also, I finally got my Rifflandia ticket today! I am beyond stoked. I'm only going for the Saturday day, but I'm still going to catch Vince Vaccaro, City and Colour, Jets Overhead, and lots of other bands. HOORAY!
One more thing- The Vancouver Sun is giving out free music downloads from now until the 15th. COOL!
